About Lauren
Healthcare should feel personal again.
For nearly twenty years, Lauren McIntyre has cared for babies, kids, and teens in some of pediatrics' most demanding rooms. Sunshine Pediatrics is what she built when she got to choose how the visit should feel.

Her story
Twenty years of pediatric rooms, and one very clear conclusion.
Lauren McIntyre, MSN, APRN, CPNP-PC, has spent more than twenty years caring for children. Her path started in the NICU, holding preemies barely bigger than her hand, and moved through the newborn nursery, pediatric trauma, urgent care, and primary care.
In every one of those rooms, she noticed the same thing. Parents needed more time. They needed clearer explanations. They needed a real relationship with the person caring for their child. And insurance-driven visits, no matter how much any provider wanted to, couldn't quite make room for that.
So she opened Sunshine Pediatrics, a boutique Direct Primary Care practice where the visit is long enough to answer every question, the phone is always answered by someone who already knows your child, and every family, vaccinating or not, is welcomed exactly as they are.
What I believe
Five things this practice was built on.
- 01
Kids deserve more than rushed appointments.
Seven-minute visits were never built for children. Ours are unhurried, playful, and thorough, with room for the questions kids only ask on the way out the door.
- 02
Questions should never feel like a burden.
Text us the small ones. Call us the big ones. It is quite literally what we're here for, and it's already included in your membership.
- 03
Education is treatment.
The more you understand what's happening with your child, the more confident you'll feel caring for them at home. We teach as we go.
- 04
Parents deserve direct access.
You get Lauren's real number. No phone trees, no gatekeepers, no waiting three days for a callback about a fever that already broke.
- 05
You're gaining a partner.
Not just a provider. A steady presence beside your family through newborn nights, school transitions, hard diagnoses, and every ordinary day in between.
